Health reacts after a certain time and it simply breaks down and lets you go no further.
So do not wait for stress to hit you. If the shadow of modern lifestyle is stress, then little adjustments and changes will put you in track without getting much affected. First of all get motivated to fight stress. This motivation leads to a conscious awareness to guard against the killing effects, so find a reason for you.
It also takes time for the effects of stress to wear off. You must understand that dealing with stress is not an overnight job. It requires some major and minor shifts in our daily behavior, lifestyle and approach towards life.
